The Gateway Program focuses on incoming first-year students to the Programs of Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Design Engineering, or Computer Science & Mathematics, whose academic average is between 65 and 69.9%, just below the stated minimum admission average of at least 70%. This program is one year in length and is consistent with opportunities made available for students who apply to the UPEI Charlottetown Campus.
Gateway students are permitted to take up to 3 academic credit courses along with a mandatory Student Support Program to assist with the transition to university study from high-school.
